Spot track surfacing machine MLP  is designed for elimination of emergency track deviations and  defects of railway tracks requiring immediate removal. MLP is used on separate sections of main and station tracks with a 1520 mm gauge, rails up to R-75 inclusive, with wooden or concrete sleepers, with all kinds of rail fastenings and ballast.
MLP is a multipurpose cycle track machine for simultaneous or autonomous track leveling, lining and tamping, dosed ballast aggregate filling into the space between sleepers and at sleeper ends, ballast surfacing, aligned track stabilization and improvement of its lateral stability. First MLP on-board computer calculates the program of leveling and ballast aggregate filling for the given section using the data acquired from machine’s measuring runs or a track-measuring car (such as KVLP). According to the program set the machine starts from a chosen point of the section, fills spaces between sleepers with ballast aggregate, surfaces ballast section; then during the second run the machine performs leveling, lining and tamping of the the track. After alignment the machine does the last stabilization run. Stabilization mechanism type: vibration with a horizontal and vertical vibration effect on the track panel.
Microprocessor-based system  allows to control all the operating units of the machine.
MLP has original two-sleeper tamping units equipped with an automated lubrication system manufactured by Lincoln (Germany). SAGC is equipped with roller grips.
MLP is driven by a hydrostatic transmission. 
Additional equipment includes load handling device with a set of changeable parts such as lumber grappler, hook and clamshell with the volume of 0,35 m3.
MLP can autonomously move along main tracks to the operation site thanks to its high traveling speed, on-board radio station, transport safety system  and automated fire detecting and extinguishing system.
The machine is designed for operation in U1 environmental class conditions as per GOST 15150, but for operation at the ambient temperature from -10°C till +40°C with non-frozen ballast.
