Medium type leveling, lining and tamping machine VPRS-P  is a multipurpose cycle-operating track machine performing simultaneous or separate  longitudinal and transverse leveling, lining and tamping of railway tracks, ballast consolidation under sleepers and sleeper butts, under bars of switches and frogs.
VPRS-P works in semiautomatic and manual mode on tangent and curved tracks with rails up to R-65 inclusive, wooden and concrete sleepers and on switch tracks with wooden ledgers and frogs from  1/9 to 1/22 type.
VPRS-P has the same lining and tamping capacity as VPRS-02, however it is simpler to operate, has more advantageous gradeability, smaller curving radius in traveling and operating positions, so this machine is more attractive for enterprises in use on their approach tracks and industrial railways.
The machine is designed for operation in U1 environmental class conditions as per GOST 15150, but for operation at the ambient temperature from -10°C till +40°C with non-frozen ballast.
